After LHS
Received a BME from KU in 1970 and an MME from KU in 1975.
Employment
Now retired, I was a financial representative
for Northwestern Mutual Financial Network from 1981 to 2007. From 1976-1981, I
was an assistant director at the KU Alumni Association. And
from 1970-76, I taught at Marysville (KS) High School.
Hearth & Home
Married wife Laura on July 4, 1981. We have two children:
Joseph is a computer specialist at the Fellowship of
Christian Athletes (FCA) in Kansas City; he also works for
the Kansas City Royals, across the street from the FCA
Headquarters; and Matthew is a sophomore at KU.
The Other Stuff
I have officiated football and basketball at the high school
level for 30+ years. For the past nine years, I've been on the
support staff of the Big XII Conference for football games and
travel to network televised games. The past three years, I've
been a Big XII Conference evaluator of basketball officials
for KU home games. I have no earthly idea what I want to do
when I grow up.
My Memories of LHS
Fond memories are of A Cappella Choir and R. Wayne Nelson; Max
Rife; Darrell Falen; later working at NMFN with Mary Gauthier;
and Charlie Kassinger. Really hated to see our winning
football streak come to an end. |
