After LHS
Received a BA from KU in 1970 and a JD from the University of
Houston in 1977.
Employment
Currently, I am an attorney in practice with my husband,
Robert A. Shivers. Our work is concentrated in the field of
immigration and nationality law, and our office is located on
the first floor of a 100-year-old building in the King William
Historic District in San Antonio. We live on the second floor.
The Other Stuff
I was editor-in-chief of the University of Houston Law Journal
1976-77; was elected to the San Antonio Women's Hall of Fame,
Legal, in 1995; won the Bexar County Bar Foundation Peacemaker
Award in 2005; and currently am a board member of Texas Public
Radio, the World Affairs Council, and the San Antonio Chamber
Music Society.
