Mr. Nall died
Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007, at Lawrence Memorial
Hospital. He was born June 21, 1947, in Vinita,
Okla., the son of Jasper and Mary Piquard Nall. He
graduated from Lawrence High School in 1966.
Mr. Nall served in
the U.S. Marines from 1967 to 1971 and was in
Vietnam from December of 1967 to January of 1969. He
was a pipe fitter and worked for Conley Sprinklers
in Pleasanton. He worked for Mike Elwell in
Lawrence, where he did foundry work. He was also
vice president of Devonian Oil Co.
He helped make many
of the bronze statues in Lawrence while he worked,
including those at Abe & Jake's Landing. He sold
real estate in Lawrence during the 1970s and early
'80s. He was a member of Lawrence Heights Christian
Church and Pipefitters Local 669. He was an avid
hunter and fisherman.
He married Debbie
Andrews (LHS Class of 1968) on Jan. 18, 1969, in
Lawrence. She survives, of the home. Other survivors
include two daughters, Chrissy Nall Unruh, Wichita,
and Natalie N. Nall, Lawrence; two sons, Ryan L. and
Kenny, both of Lawrence; four sisters, Phyllis
Faulconer, Grove, Okla., Rosemary Bryant, Eudora,
Barbara Roper, Lawrence, and Judy K. Copeland,
Perry; a step-sister, Jane Deason, Tulsa, Okla.; and
three grandchildren, Brandon, Alison and Ava.
The family suggests
memorials to the Barry L. Nall Memorial Fund, sent
in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence.
