A memorial gathering for Charles R. Boyd, 60, Lawrence, will be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.

Mr. Boyd died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008, in Lawrence. He was born May 11, 1948, in LaJunta, Colo., the son of Howard I. and Grace Quick Boyd. He lived in Lawrence all his life.

He graduated from Lawrence High School in 1966 and received a degree in mathematics from Kansas University in 1971. Mr. Boyd was a member of the Kansas National Guard from 1968 to 1971. He co-owned the Antique Bazaar in North Lawrence for many years.

Survivors include a daughter, Buffy Boyd, Lawrence; his mother, Grace Boyd, Lawrence; a brother, Howard Boyd, Albany, Ore.; and a sister, Rebecca McGoff, Lawrence. He was preceded in death by a twin brother, Claude, who died in 2006.
