After LHS
Spent two years at KU. After my kids were a little older, I
got a degree in interior decorating.
Employment
I have been with Prairie Village Police Department as a
communications officer for 17 years.
Hearth & Home
I currently am single after a couple of "E for Effort"
tries. I have two wonderful sons that are the lights in my
life. James, 36, is a Blackhawk helicopter pilot. He has 3½
years left until retirement, so please cross your fingers that
he does not have to return to Iraq or any other hot spot. He
was just transferred to Ft. Riley, so for the first time, he
and his family are close by. He is married and has a daughter,
Amanda, 13, and a son, Michael, 11. My other son, Joseph, 32,
is a systems engineer for Lockheed Martin. He lives in Texas
with his wife and son, James, 12.
The Other Stuff
I have been a jewelry artist for many years and have had a few
shows. But other than that, I haven't attempted to market my
wares. My younger son is going to create a web site for me in
the near future, so watch out...I might actually make some
money!
My dream is to become an artist in a number of
media. Presently I am spending many hours learning graphic
arts and photography.
My Memories of LHS
I loved A Capella and being in drama. Now that I'm thinking
about it, I guess I also really enjoyed Pep Club and speech
class and hanging with friends, etc, etc, etc. But I also feel
neglectful of a lot of people because I've lost contact with
friends from much earlier in life. I also was very judgmental
back then, and ruined some opportunities for great
friendships. If any of you fall into either of those
categories, please accept my apologies. I would be more than
happy to have a second chance. |
