to the website by, of and for the
Lawrence (KS) High School Class of 1966

This website has been created to make it easy to reconnect
with each other after 40+ years.
We plan to keep the site alive, active and updated for many
years to come. But we'll need your participation—now and
later—to accomplish that goal.*
The point is: It's all about reconnecting and staying connected. The
older we get, the more important this seems to become. So, my
fellow '66ers, why not:
- Attend our
60th
Birthday Bash Oct. 4,
2008, and/or
- Fill
out and submit the
About YOU form to help me
create a personal page about YOU, and/or
- Keep your personal page
Updated
so your friends can keep up!
What you send—including digital photos or other
graphics—will be used to create a personal web page here for
you. Don't be shy or modest. You may not think you've done
anything interesting or that anyone cares about, but I
guarantee you, your old friends and classmates will LOVE to
read what you've been up to all these years and see
recent photos of you. Really!
And don't forget to keep your information current by
contacting me with updates.
It's easy to make changes in your information, so don't
hesitate to email me "early and often" with updates.
If many of us contribute, we'll be able to catch up on what our
classmates
have been doing, where they are now, and how to contact them (if they agreed to
putting an email link on their pages). And it'll also be fun to check back occasionally to see if
anyone has posted memories about you on your personal page...and
then do likewise.
Let's make this a great place to visit, reminisce, and stay
updated and connected
with each other from now on!
Your '66 classmate & webmaster,
Barbara Lauter
*There is no income from advertising on
this website, and no one is getting paid to maintain it.
It's being produced voluntarily, on a shoestring, and any
out-of-pocket expenses are being paid for by any monies left
over from LHS'66 class events. So, the more people who
attend these class events (hint, hint...Oct.
4), the more likely we'll be able to maintain
this website and keep it up and running for many years to
come.
So LHS'66 lurkers, no one is going to
care about visiting very often (if at all again) unless YOU
join those of us who have created a personal page and then
keep it updated once in a while.
It's now two years after our 40th reunion and I'm
still here, doing this website. Where are YOU, and
WHAT ARE YOU DOING??? Tell me!
